THE WORST TRAGEDY OF THE BUSH PRESIDENCY

...With all of that said, however, the worst tragedy of the Bush presidency lies with something even deeper and more permanent (if that is possible). The worst tragedy of the Bush presidency is the damage he has done to the image and influence of Christianity. It is no hyperbole to say that George W. Bush has done more to demean and mitigate the positive influence of genuine Christianity than any single person in American history. And I do not say that lightly.
Because George W. Bush successfully portrayed himself as the ultimate Christian president, his life and policies are indelibly linked to the very definition of what it means to be a Christian in public office. The Religious Right also share in this perception, as they almost universally and totally gave their allegiance to Bush. Hence, as far as most Americans are concerned, George W. Bush is a Christian, and, therefore, his philosophies and ideas are assumed to be Christian as well. THIS IS A TRAGEDY OF UTMOST PROPORTIONS!

  1. I read this article earlier today and had to get an air sickness bag. When have the Baptists had the moral authority ever? Their judgemental attitudes are legendary and I find his diatribe a little over the top.

I personally think GWB is evil incarnate and has fooled even the very elect; myself included. But now my eyes have been opened.

However, the televangelists and other narrow minded Christians have done more harm over the past 40 years than GWB could ever do.

Christianity has pushed people away for years with their self serving idolatry and building programs. "Pass the Plate " has usurped the "Great Commission" and it can be counted by membership declines in all the main line church denominations including the Baptists.

I think many of the things this gentleman said are true but laying them at the feet of one man is ludicrous.

He is just the tip of the iceberg of the folks who will stand amazed when Jesus spews them out His mouth!

    I don't think so.
He is the idol apostate Christian have created with their own hands, the "lesser?" of two evils.
He is the king of the Christian's in the same way the Jews said 'give us Barabbas ' when Pilate offered them Jesus ,they chose a criminal over their messiah.
Really it worse ,we had Jesus and traded him for a devil.

He is more than the tip of the iceberg he is the reflection of the Church and her reprobaqte state.
    The silence of Christian leaders
    speaks volumes.
America's Christian majority wanted an earthy king and they got one. Messiah Jesus was not powerful or fast enough for them and so God allowed satan to manifest this president for them.
God has sent the strong delusion.

  3. An important fact a majority of Christian's miss is that satan's last days anti-christ plan's have moved forward much faster under the term of this 'christian' President Bush.
Satan's plan with his right hand man has moved fast forward without the outcry or fight that would have happened under some other 'non koshered-christian' president.
Because they voted for this devil he is THEIR kosher devil.
To admit their grave mistake would be to admit they were the blind led by the blind and most of them are too proud to repent of this sin.
They hide this fact in the hopes no one will see.

  4. One other fact that I failed to mention in my other post is the question whether a person can rule a democracy that is threatened by evil doers every, along Christian priciples. Moreover, the interpretation of scriptures has splintered the Christian church into scores of denominations so your opinion of the what is leading by Christs example is different from many others. Who decides who is right other than God.
Jesus said "render under Cesaer that which is Cesear's , and render unto God that which is God's. Is torture (so called) the realm of Man or God? Does border security, immigration, foreign policy and the like fall into the realm of man or God?
Something to ponder because the peanut farmer tried his hand merging both and was a bigger failure than GWB. Just my humble opinion. RCP

  5. 'One other fact that I failed to mention in my other post is the question whether a person can rule a democracy that is threatened by evil doers every, along Christian priciples.'

(Do you really believe this is a democracy,(it's supposed to be a republic) as the phony republican Bush shoves his North America Union down our throat's without even a vote by the citizens ?
David rules Israel under Godly principals and trusted God.
Bush has no real faith only religion to decieve the dumb sheep.
    The blind cannot see this.
It sounds like you are making excuses for the evil one )

Moreover, the interpretation of scriptures has splintered the Christian church into scores of denominations so your opinion of the what is leading by Christs example is different from many others. Who decides who is right other than God.
(The religious folks led by their flesh are awash in a sea of confusion and only see what their flesh wants to see and accept.
Those led by the Spirit of God understand and see and know the truth.
God's word is clear and man darkens and clouds what God says.

SEEK AND DESIRE WHAT IS PURE AND UNPOLLUTED BY MAN.
religion and worthless man corrupted.denominations are good at this.
    'And this is the condemnation,that
light has come into the world and men love darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil'

again you seem to make excuses for being in the dark )

Jesus said "render under Cesaer that which is Cesear's , and render unto God that which is God's. Is torture (so called) the realm of Man or God? Does border security, immigration, foreign policy and the like fall into the realm of man or God?

    ???
Deception, deception, lies and Satan's agenda are what motivate the arrogant empire and their power hungry leaders today.
Their motives are corrupt and not pure and led by God.
Look at all the fools who want to lead America into the pit of hell lining up for the 2008 election and not onbe of them call the nation to repentance or warn of the evil that floods thisd nation.

We do know that the real reason the U.S. is in Iraq with one of the largets embassies ever built anywhere is for oil and not democracy and freedom, don't we ?
Carter,Bush and Clinton are all part of the C.F.R NEW WORLD ORDER AGENDA.

You don't become President of the U.S. unless you get the blessing of this group of demon inspired elites.
I hope you are not decieved by the 2 party scam in the U.S.
They are both corrupted beyond repair or redemption and greed rules them both.

They are cut from the same filthy rag.
Bush has done more harm becasue he has more power .He is a global superpower leader and please remember that he is not finished with the damage he will inflict on this earth.
I believe his actions will lead the world into tribulation perion while the crooks on T.V. only steal money from gulliable, niave fools who don't have enough sense to see thru their religious circus side show.
They get what all decieved fools deserve, don't you think ?

  7. I am not making excuses for any darkness and by the way I am not in the dark. I have been studying the NWO since I was 15 (32 years ago) and many of the things that were anticipated have come to pass. I agree completely that noone becomes president without the blessing of the NWO committee (CFR, Bilderbergers, etc). The point I am making is that, everyday, Christians and their failure to walk the talk and their blatant hypocracy is doing as much damage to the faith as anything else. Priests as pedophiles, evangelists with prostitutes and other scandals hurt our credibility.
I agree that GWB is driving us into the tribulation along with building a great judgement because of our turn away from Israel.
The modern christian church is asleep to all of this because of the false doctrine of pre-trib rapture. They think I dont have to prepare or be active because I am saved! God help us all! RCP

    RCP,

We sure are living in interesting times
Leaders are in a always held in a higher position of responsibility.

I heard the other day that it was the pastors who elected the homosexual Ted Haggard as leader of the National Association of Evangelicals.
That reveals their blindness and lack of spiritual discernment.
The same pastors told their sheep to vote for the wolf in sheeps clothing,Bush.
The blind do lead the blid today.

We all fall short ,but it is the shepherds ,leaders whom God holds to account for their failure to lead the flock.
The flock headed for slaughter because they trusted their leaders and did not take Jesus word serious.

  9. RCP made some good points. I don't see him making excuses so much as looking at the Big Picture.

**However, the televangelists and other narrow minded Christians have done more harm over the past 40 years than GWB could ever do.

That is certainly true. GWB could not have gotten their support unless the narrow-minded, greedy, Dominionist brand of Christianity was not already in place. That is th point RCP was making, not defending GWB as such. GWB is a symptom, not the disease itself. The disease is apostate, works based Christianity.

You remember people saying all the things we need to 'fix' to bring America 'back to God'?

Get rid of the gays; ban abortion; get prayer in schools; teach Creation in schools; ban Harry Potter, etc.

All these are WORKS BASED SOLUTIONS. EVEN if we got all these things done the first year of Bush's reign, we'd still be where we are. Why? Cuz works are filthy rags, and all the 'being good' in the world will not save a soul from Hell.

If works could fix things, we'd have been redeemd on Mt Sinai, when the Law was given. Just follow the Law and be saved. Christ would not have had to die.

That is the core of the problem, aggravated by the belief that America was established to be "Christian" (i.e white Anglo Saxon Protestant). Neither history nor the Constitution support this argument. Just cuz God is mentioned in the Pledge and our Anthem and such, does not mean anything. We do not govern from those. Even Hitler invoked 'God'. So what?

So what you see is people equating Satan's nation with Christ's, and trying to force it to be so by force of law and will. Dudes, you are fighting wicked powers who are far smarter than men(Eph 6). And fighting them with flesh besides. We already lost. Just a question of body count.

****To admit their grave mistake would be to admit they were the blind led by the blind and most of them are too proud to repent of this sin.
They hide this fact in the hopes no one will see.

Exactly. I've been warning people for years, and all I got was mocking, ignoring, accusation, and nastiness. 101 reasons why I was not saved cuz I didn't worship this man. "Don't speak against the King, etc". Scripture twisted to defend what was going on.

Now it's obvious we were right. Is there repentance? Are people trying to understand? No. Just either denying outright they ever supported him, or counting on their rapture to save them. Anything to keep from saying 'we were wrong'.

Well, before it's over, they will have to. They'll have nowhere to go when the US is wrecked, and they'll have to beg to be let in because of what they've done. Mark my words. Repent now or repent later, but they WILL repent.

  10. You make a good point.

The hired shepherds/satan must always have something, someone tempting to lead the sheep away from Jesus with.
Rome has gotten much mileage with this by way of Mary and the saints.

One important issue I should of mentioned ,the writer Chuck is still trying to save his promised land America.
When he lauded ant- Israel writer Charlie Reese as a great man, I understood we were not on the same page.
There are many Christians like him who have yet to understand that God has only one promised land.
I do agree with him on Bush though.

  11. Whenever anyone lauds ANY man, your alarms should go off.

There's SOME teachers I like, but I still filter them thru the word and reject what don't flow.

The list is very small. They could all fit in a Mini, in fact. That is how disgusted I am with what passes for 'teachers' now. ALL of them have some bit of leaven to push. Jesus said that's all it takes.

And people who praise America and insist it must be saved just don't get it. At this point, if God does NOT judge, He needs to send us a new bible, cuz this one is broken then.

If God relents, it'll simply validate all their apostasies, that God favors the rich, Israel is irrelevant, etc. They will be ten times worse if so.

Fact is, the real reason people are so hot to 'save America' is cuz they are having fun here. Usually it comes from people with good jobs, plenty of money, a 'bright future' ahead, and plans to enjoy it. It rarely comes from people who have to fight thru every day here. It is the ones enjoying the good life here that want to keep it, who insist on 'saving it'. Adding God to it just makes it seem noble.

Our prosperity has blinded us. Which is further proof it is Lucifer/Satan who has made the USA rich, not God. Do some history homework and see how we REALLY got so powerful. I do not see God's hand in much of it.

  12. Looking back over the years I can see how often the Lord pulled me out of so many religious deceptions I though were right on.
From Ken Copleand to Benny Hinn to Pat Robertson, TBN, Oral Roberts, Larry Lea,Rod Parsley ect.ect.
I make it a point not to listen to
any of the T.V preschers anymore.
Even John Hagee has polluted himself by getting cozy with the GREEDY, filthy rags of T.V.apostacy.
My list is much shorter these days.
I heard vincent Xavier on the radio last week say it so well.
    "I don't trust any man "
He was speaking in refrence to Ted Haggard and how it was a majority of pastors who elected him as president of the NAE.
    No discernment.

  13. I used to love Jack Van Impe, back in the day. Alarms started going off when he started praising the Pope as a 'great godly man'. Turns out he was getting a little change from the RCC for his 'ministry'.

Any ministry that has to beg for money, or is limited by money, tells me God is not behind it. WHY would the God of Heaven, who CREATED the gold and silver, be limited BY gold and silver?

The best ministries rarely ask for money, I find. They seem to just 'flow'. If they need it, it comes, sometimes from quarters they are not aware of.

Mayhap the others are doing it for the SELF, and not for God? Maybe they are expanding just to expand and 'make a name', not to glorify God? I dunno. But I noticed YOU never seem to need money for what you do, and there's more truth in one post than in whole pages elsewhere.

In the end, it comes down to a man and his God. No preacher will stand in our place to give account. I daresay they'll have the hands full just defending THEMSELVES.

Time to take responsibility for our own discernment.

I went thru the same experience but didn't know he was getting money from the religious whore.
The rot at the top is stunning.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added to you.
I think too many are seeking other things.
When God is truly first there is no need.
The money grubbing, book selling hustlers in the Church are the merchants ,the Caanaites that God will remove forever from His Temple.
Tooo many have crossed the line assuming that God is part of their greedy drive for money.
I used to support a ministry back in the day,Kaplan and his wife dies and another man took over.
They found my phone number and continue to call even after I said they were disgusting greedy beggars. They have no shame and use people for gain and I despise them.
Other once reputable ministries have sold their lists of money supporters to crooks who hustle using religion to get money from the sheeple.
I DON'T NEED MUCH TO SURVIVE.
My motto is less is better, which makes me quite un-American.
It's really sick how so many American's need to rent warehouse space to store all their worthless junk they can't find a place for at home.
It's amazing how much junk, stuff we don't need and can get by without.
Jesus said ,'Having food and clothing ,be content'
Those who need alot of stuff to be content are trapped by the decietfulness of riches.
Since I laid down my will and dies to what I wanted ,the Lord has provided what I neeed ,not what I used to want. It's real freedom and I get angry with the decievers and crooks who try to snare me into bondage one again.
A snare for so many Christian parents is they live by the worlds standards in raisings their children.
Their guilt is a trap and goads them to raise worldly children who gotta have it.
