Shaking Earth

All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.
Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars
Nahum 3

"We must all contribute to maintaining calm in the area," he added, noting that the quake struck at the height of the tourist season, and that many visitors to the island might not be accustomed to earthquakes.

We will be hearing often the command to 'remain calm ' as Jesus warned that everything that could be shaken would be shaken,EVERYTHING.

Operative word here is 'get accustomed.'

The media and government will work hard to keep the facade of everything going on as normal, but look for cracks in their fraudulent faces of calm.

They know if people knew how bad everything was getting, panic would expolde among the masses of sheeple headed for slaughter.

They can only keep the lid on for so long.

Amos the prophet says something a little different:

Amos 5:18-20 18 Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day of the Lord to you? It will be darkness, and not light. 19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion, And a bear met him! Or as though he went into the house, Leaned his hand on the wall, And a serpent bit him! 20 Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it?

    Jesus says:

Luke 21:35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

    Paul says:

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

    and

Hebrews 12:25-29 25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." 27 Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

And a discovery I made in Zephaniah 2 today seems to speak about a certain "undesirable nation".... Wonder who that could be?

Zephaniah 2 1 Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, O undesirable nation, 2 Before the decree is issued, Or the day passes like chaff, Before the Lord's fierce anger comes upon you, Before the day of the Lord's anger comes upon you! 3 Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of the Lord's anger.

4 For Gaza shall be forsaken, And Ashkelon desolate; They shall drive out Ashdod at noonday, And Ekron shall be uprooted. 5 Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, The nation of the Cherethites! The word of the Lord is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines: "I will destroy you; So there shall be no inhabitant." 6 The seacoast shall be pastures, With shelters F9 for shepherds and folds for flocks. 7 The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; They shall feed their flocks there; In the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. For the Lord their God will intervene for them, And return their captives.

8 "I have heard the reproach of Moab, And the insults of the people of Ammon, With which they have reproached My people, And made arrogant threats against their borders. 9 Therefore, as I live," Says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, "Surely Moab shall be like Sodom, And the people of Ammon like Gomorrah-- Overrun with weeds and saltpits, And a perpetual desolation. The residue of My people shall plunder them, And the remnant of My people shall possess them." 10 This they shall have for their pride, Because they have reproached and made arrogant threats Against the people of the Lord of hosts. 11 The Lord will be awesome to them, For He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; People shall worship Him, Each one from his place, Indeed all the shores of the nations.

12 "You Ethiopians also, You shall be slain by My sword." 13 And He will stretch out His hand against the north, Destroy Assyria, And make Nineveh a desolation, As dry as the wilderness. 14 The herds shall lie down in her midst, Every beast of the nation. Both the pelican and the bittern Shall lodge on the capitals of her pillars; Their voice shall sing in the windows; Desolation shall be at the threshold; For He will lay bare the cedar work. 15 This is the rejoicing city That dwelt securely, That said in her heart, "I am it, and there is none besides me." How has she become a desolation, A place for beasts to lie down! Everyone who passes by her Shall hiss and shake his fist.

We are just the latest Ninevah.

And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, [that] no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
Behold, I [am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
Behold, I [am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.

  4. Meanwhile, the pre-tribulation rapture-ites continue to desire the day of The Lord and say everything will be just fine because we will be gone before anything gets real bad......

THE PRIDE OF THEIR HEARTS HAS DECEIVED THEM.
How arrogant to selfishly see themselves 'above' it all and grin in their hearts that they will not have to get their finger nails dirty.
They prove they do not know the word of God or God but know and believe what is false.

"Meanwhile, the pre-tribulation rapture-ites continue to desire the day of The Lord and say everything will be just fine because we will be gone before anything gets real bad......"

These pre-trib people are deceived indeed James, Marcel, by the 'sugar' of their preachers.

The Tribulation is upon us right now [i believe], and i expect that things will get *much* worse yet.

And it is a tragedy, because many of these pre-trib ppl will totally lose their 'faith'.

A 'faith' built upon words of 'sugar'.

Why didn't these ppl make the time to read God's WORD, for themselves, and could let God guide them himself, with His spirit?

We do not need men to guide us.

Read His word yourself, pray to Him, and let our LORD talk to your heart, and guide you.

Our LORD promised to guide his ppl, with his Holy Spirit,
...but we have to meet him half way.

Keep your faith in our faithful LORD.

If death comes your way, do not fear it.

    Let it wash over you.

    Do not fear that.

    Revelation 2:10
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

  6. Today, in this world, the atheists scoff.

These men believe that this, is their time.

    Yes they scoff!
...they scoff in their *belief*, that there is no God.

    2 Peter 3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

We walk this earth today, and many men scoff,
...that, 'God' does not reveal himself.

And yet in our journey here, *who* is it, that *is* being revealed???

    2 Thessalonians 2:1
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
    3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

.....by our gathering together unto him,
.....except there come a falling away first,
    .....that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

And indeed, so many men today, "....exalteth himself above all that is called God".

These men deny God, and exalt *themselves*, in their wickedness.

  7. amen Walter ,
Thank's for the word especially Revelation 2:10
What cought my attention was 'the devil shall cast some of you into prison'
Only the government has the authority to do this.
For any believer to say government is good and of God ,this scripture should help them to snap out of their delusion, but maybe their heart is set to serve their true master.

  8. Thanks for the encouragement everyone. It is nice to know your there, even if we haven't ever met face to face. We are of the same spirit! We definitely have need of one another brethren!

    Matthew 24:9-13
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

    Lu 21:19
In your patience possess ye your souls.

    Hebrews 10:36
For ye have need of patience(NKJV-endurance), that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

    Hebrews 12:1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience(NKJV-endurance) the race that is set before us,

    Romans 5:1-5
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

    Re 13:10
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

    Re 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

    Colossians 1:9-11
    9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

We need to pray that(Colossians 1:9-11) for one another brethren!

May our great God and Saviour keep us by His wonderful grace and mercy through this coming time of persecution. Amen.
