Aliens

The story of Ruth is the story of the Church and Israel.

The majority of Christians have failed the test with a peck on the cheek like Orpah.
Unlike the majority ,I'm clinging on a tightly as possible.
The majority will remain behind and only the Ruth's will say ;

'your people shall be my people'

That Bethlehem is mentioned here should awaken the kissy Christians.
To the degree of love you have for natural Israel is the degree of love you have for God.
Israel is evidence of God's eternal undying love and commitment to His word and promise to Abraham, father of all children of faith.
God is not impressed or fooled by all the religious babel.
Like Ruth your actions equal the proof.
Ruth was remembered and played a pivotal part in Israel's redemption as will the remnant Church of these last days.
What part are you playing ,Orpah or Ruth ?
The Orpah's will eventually stand against Israel with the apostate whore church which rides on the Beast.

Are you a Ruth or an Orpah ?

'And they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.

Then she said, "Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and her gods; return after your sister-in-law."

But Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.

"Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the LORD do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me."

When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more to her.

So they both went until they came to Bethlehem. And when they had come to Bethlehem'..........
Ruth 1

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

  1. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure. Psalm 122:6

There will be peace in Jerusalem at the appointed time.

19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh. Revelation 19:19-21

As long as the wicked run the earth you will have war for profit. Your own post entitled "Free Gaza" stated:

"Feelings here in Israel are very mixed. On the one hand, we of course pray for a successful IDF operation against the Arab enemy; on the other hand, we have no trust in the real intentions of the Livni-Barak leftist government. People are furious that this government has done nothing for years against the Kassams and the missiles, has done nothing to free Gilad Shalit, has agreed to give the Hamas months of quiet which enabled it to arm itself with the most modern missiles that can reach Ashdod and Beersheva. And now that elections in Israel are around the corner and all polls show that Ehud Barak and Tzipi Livni will be shamefully thrown into the opposition, all of a sudden they are waking up and are doing something. Something they should have done years ago."

When the true Messiah comes who is Jesus Christ the Great I Am, He will make war in righteousness and grind all idols to powder!

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.Revelation 19:11

And then there will finally be peace in Jerusalem!

  2. 'As long as the wicked run the earth you will have war for profit'

Glen ,you're mixing rats with children.
How could you possibly compare Israel's war for survival with Babylons war for profit ?????

As the whole earth gathers to make war against Israel are you telliing me that Israel does not fight a RIGHTEOUS war in defending themselves ?

If you're not loud and solid behind natural Israel now do you think Jesus will be impressed that you jump on the bandwagon at His return ?
You better sign up now, not after the war.

I encourage you to read Jeremiah 51:17-33 to help you understand that this begins long before Jesus returns.
He has been using Israel for a long time to judge the nations as they now have taken sides against Him and His people Israel.
I am saddened by your Orpah like kiss off of present day natural Israe.
Israel was far from perfect in Ruth's day and yet when it counted she loved Naomi and all that came with loving Naomi(the good with the bad).

The cheap peck on the cheek believers will not make it.

  3. Israel's current war is not a war being fought for the glory of God, it is a war being fought for secular Zionism, a cause apart from God altogether.

They want a secular Israel just like Babylon wants Gods blessings but none of His ways.

Remember, Babylon has corrupted the earth and Israel is no exception.

Israel will look up when all hope is lost to have this golden calf and look upon Him whom they have pierced with mourning as a man weeps for his only son.

Defending secular Zionism is very akin to defending the Pharisees.

Jesus didn't do it and neither should we.

  4. James ,you're sick in the head and starting to sound like Rick Wiles.

Like I said before God has brought back the dry bones to the land of Israel ansd is now in the process of restoring them.
Your cheap shot at God's patient work with the house of Israel says alot about you and the myriad of other cheek peckers of the tribe of Orpah.

  5. You're saying Babylon hasn't corrupted Israel?

I've heard you yourself say that they look to Babylon as their savior instead of God.

And I don't give heed to Rick. We spoke about that the other day.

You keep forgetting that I have a personal friend and son-in-law that are Jewish.

  6. Romans 9:6 But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel,

    Do you get that?

Galatians 3:29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

    Do you get that?

2 Corinthians 5:16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.

    How about that?

Galatians 4:25.26 25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children-- 26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.

    That?

I get Romans 11 and I DO NOT boast against the natural branches.

    God forbid.

No, rather I hope for their spiritual restoration with God so we can all worship Him in spirit and truth.

You seem to forget the words of Christ.

John 8:31-59 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." 33 They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will be made free'?" 34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. 37 "I know that you are Abraham's descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. 38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father." 39 They answered and said to Him, "Abraham is our father." Jesus said to them, "If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. 41 You do the deeds of your father." Then they said to Him, "We were not born of fornication; we have one Father--God." 42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God." 48 Then the Jews answered and said to Him, "Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?" 49 Jesus answered, "I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. 50 And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. 51 Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death." 52 Then the Jews said to Him, "Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, 'If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.' 53 Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Whom do You make Yourself out to be?" 54 Jesus answered, "If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. 55 Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, 'I do not know Him,' I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." 57 Then the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" 58 Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM." 59 Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Tell me, were those Jews saved?

Did they have ANY inheritance from God to look forward to?

  7. It'sd simple ,you either stand with Israel or you don't.
There is no longer any middle ground.
YOU KEEP MAKING EXCUSES AND LOOKING FOR REASONS NOT TO !
You cannot seperate natural Israel in unbelieve from God's finishing work in them.

Your attitude of 'I will love them when they straighten out' reveals where your heart is.

  8. I stand with Jesus Christ. Did he stand with those in John 8 that wanted to kill Him?

Oh, and I love them. Even now.

Which is why I preach the truth to them like Jesus did then.

Those who reject Christ have no inheritance from God, Jew first and also the Greek.

Romans 2:7-11 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath, 9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with God.

    Romans 2:9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;

Remember, Paul was a Jew and he prophesied tribulation and anguish on everyone who rejects Christ.

He also rejected his glory in the flesh. He counted it rubbish.

Philippians 3:4-8 4 though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; 6 concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. 7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

  9. "....It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD."

    Isaiah 30:1
Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
.....8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.

    Isaiah 57:13
    When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
14 And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.
15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
17 For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

    Isaiah 1:10
Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
    16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
24 Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
25 And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
30 For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
31 And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

".....Zion shall be redeemed with judgment,"

    Psalms 1:1
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

    Lamentations 3:25
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

    Isaiah 30:18
And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

'Israel', and indeed all of those who regard *themselves* as God's people, are tested in this life, with affliction.
    [Read Job again.]

How we respond to those afflictions that comes upon us, and the choices we make as a consequence of our affliction, reveals our worth, and reveals our 'discernment', or lack thereof.

    Isaiah 48:10
Behold, I have refined thee [Israel], but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

    Psalms 11:4
The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

We are spiritual creatures, [and] prisoners within these earthen bodies - until we return 'home'.
    Don't ever forget that.

    Daniel 12:1
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

In our affliction, in this life....

    Daniel 12:10
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

"......and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand."

  10. ADDENDUM.....

    Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

That article "Free Gaza" you posted shows some of the leaven that ANY earthly government is infested with. You yourself have said how Israel's government bows down to mystery babylon and takes orders from them and not God alone. If God is not going to answer a double minded mans prayers do you think he is going to bless the hypocrisy/leaven of a double minded government.

13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Luke 16:13

I don't hate Israel. I will not boast against the natural branches, but I will not get caught up in supporting earthly/leavened governments. I serve the Lord Christ. If He had said to fight in the flesh for natural Israel I would go and sign up today! Instead:
Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here." John 18:36

Are you going to call those that obey this commandment of Christ Jesus cowards and Israel haters when it comes to pass:
21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Luke 21:20-24

I know many think that already happened but taken in context with rest of the scripture. I don't think it has! For the proceeding verses 25-28 state:

25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things BEGIN to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your REDEMTION DRAWS NEAR."

I will pray for the peace of Jerusalem and mourn with those who mourn. I know there will be peace when the Prince of peace returns.

I have been speaking out against babylons wickedness and exposing darkness for years. I am watching like we are all commanded to do by the Lord!

Are you saying that if I lived in Israel I should take up arms and fight. That is not what the Lord commanded.

43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:43-48

We are of a different kingdom and it is not from here! Peace will come.
15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" Revelation 11:15

And then all Israel will be saved and no longer be under a yoke of bondage, Praise God.

12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12

If we call on the name of Jesus we are in this together! We are the body of Christ, all who call on the name of Jesus the Christ!

As far as scripture references, James quoted many above and I agree with the word of God:

25 As He says also in Hosea: "I will call them My people, who were not My people, And her beloved, who was not beloved." 26 "And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' There they shall be called sons of the living God." 27 Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, The remnant will be saved. 28 For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, Because the Lord will make a short work upon the earth." 29 And as Isaiah said before: "Unless the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, We would have become like Sodom, And we would have been made like Gomorrah." 30 What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith; 31 but Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness. 32 Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone. 33 As it is written: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." Romans 9:25:33

  13. Glen ,you're all mixed up and dead wrong for putting Israel on the same level with the nations.
God has a living covenant with Israel and no other nation.
Your reasoning is wrong as God is using ISRAEL TO FIGHT AND DESTROY THE NATIONS.
I have no doubt that you will not be with the saints of the Lord of Armies when He returns to make war and fill the valley of Jehsohaphat
with blood up to the horses bridle because you do not rightly divide the word of God.
THERE COMES A TIME TO FIGHT !

I'm am sure that you would have tried to stop young David from going after the giant from Gaza named Goliath,David a man after God's own heart was zealous for the Lord and Israel unlike you.

  14. Marcel said,"THERE COMES A TIME TO FIGHT!"

Yes marcel you are correct, but if you are saying we need to take up the literal sword/weapon I say You do not know what manner of spirit you are of!

    Luke 9:51-56
51 Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, 52 and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. 53 But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. 54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" 55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." And they went to another village.

    2 Corinthians 10:3-6
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

    Ephesians 6:10-12
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

marcel said,"I'm am sure that you would have tried to stop young David from going after the giant from Gaza named Goliath,David a man after God's own heart was zealous for the Lord and Israel unlike you."

    Matthew 5:43-48

Jesus also said "16 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16

    Ephesians 6:17-18
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--

    Jude 1:3
3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

We are to contend for the faith! Did the desciples ever go to war against Rome? Is there any account of the church taking up arms against Saul when he was persecuting the church and laying waiste to families?

    Romans 12:17-21
17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. 20 Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head." 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Marcel please, if you are going to accuse me of being a coward because I am taking the scripture literally, I say then if you can prove to me from the scriptures where I am wrong I will recant! Until then the only sword I will take up is the Word of almighty God!

Whose side are you on ?

  16. I for one am on the God of Israel's side.

But He will purify Israel and He will purify the church in the great tribulation.

Jesus Christ is coming back for a spotless bride and both the church and Israel will go through the refiners fire to come out the other side as one body, not two.

Everyone has made their choice and will reap a great and deadly harvest for their choice.

    No

Joshua 5:13-15 13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, "Are You for us or for our adversaries?" 14 So He said, "No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, "What does my Lord say to His servant?" 15 Then the Commander of the Lord's army said to Joshua, "Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy." And Joshua did so.

Brother Glenn is on the road and wanted me to post this but I do agree.

  19. No ground at all.

Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world else His servants would fight.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here."

  20. What does that have to do with Israel fighting to defend themselves ?

    ReplyDelete
  21. It has to do with:

As Christians we are not called to fight in the flesh.

We can pray but the weapons of OUR warfare are NOT carnal.

As I've said before, the government of Israel has a right, even an obligation to defend it's citizens.

Why have they waited so long to do so though? They let rockets rain down for years and did little to stop them.

You listen to that Art Katz teaching yet?

  22. So what happens with all those Christians who fought in WWII ,Civil War ect ?
    you wrote;
'Why have they waited so long to do so though? They let rockets rain down for years and did little to stop them.'

    I guess you're deaf or don't listen well ?
I've been saying the same thing here for years and you still don't hear.
The U.S. is the primary player which restrains Israel and forced them to surrender Jewish land for Islamic rockets.
You don't seem to grasp the immense power the U.S. holds over Israel being it's only major weapons supplier and sugar daddy ?
    Israel has been forced to not respond so as not to 'damage the U.S. 'peace process;
Finally with an election an permission from Bush they move into Gaza but not to defeat Hamas.
It looks like they are doing it for the Presidents Palestinian state agenda so that Mahmoud Abbas (Fatah) can take over after Hamas is weakened enough for this moslem terrorist group to replace the other moslem terrorist group.
It's really sad to see Israel serve her idol America so religiously.

It is really troubling to me that after so much time here you are so ignorant to this fact.
    What are you smoking ?
Don't tell me you are blind and cannot see this ?

    It's all over the place.

I'm listening to CNN and the media is pushing Israel to stop while the government pushes Israel to plan for another worthless ceasefire.

  23. "So what happens with all those Christians who fought in WWII ,Civil War ect ?"

1 John 3:15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Revelation 22:15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

And I was being sarcastic when I asked why they waited so long.

    Of course it was politics...

Thats why I refuse to cheerlead for the wars of this earthly kingdom..

No it wasn't ,it was a bully superpower forcing it's 'plan' on a smaller nation.

  25. I too am on the side of the Lord Jesus Christ, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords and He did not tell us to fight in the flesh.

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 2 Timothy 2:3

For a "christian" to fight in any war in the flesh on this earth is as useless as voting on babylon's president, and against the commandments of our Lord. "For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come." Hebrews 13:14

We are told in 1 Timothy 6:12, to Fight the good fight of faith.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 2 Corinthians 10:3

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. John 17:16

Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here." John 18:36

Israel as a nation of the "world community" has a right to defend it's people, absolutely. And you may think that I am, as you put it mixing "rats with children", but Israel is the one that put itself in agreement with the United Nations. Yes, I think it rots that that little nation in the middle of the whole world can't just be left alone, but the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. Our God(The God of Israel-blessed be His name) knows what is best for Israel and the world and if He isn't going to stop the enemies of Israel right now what are we going to do about it, take up arms and disobey our Master? We, as followers of Jesus are not called to fight in the flesh. Jesus told us to watch the signs though, and this could escalate into world war which could very well end with the strengthening of the covenant for seven years, which I believe will in the middle of the week, begin the time of Jacob's trouble which will bring great tribulation/persecution against Jews and those who support/comfort them, mostly true followers of Christ.

You can rest assured that the natural branches have always held a special place in my heart from the time I was a child. I grew up in New York state and there were always many Jews around. I was taught as a young boy Jesus was the Son of God, and also knew he was Jewish in the flesh, so naturally I always looked at them differently than everyone else. I wondered if that was what Jesus might have looked like and if he talked like them. As I before I love the Jewish people as descendents of our father Abraham.

The scripture is clear though a remnant will be saved. This Israel in the flesh is not God's finished work. Israel and the church must go through major fire before the return of Messiah Ben David. Until then Jesus said: " "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!'"Luke 13:34-35

"Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons." Acts 10:34

7 Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 9 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." Luke 3:7-8

We are told in 2 Corinthians 5:16
Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer

and: 28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God. Romans 2:28

    and: Romans 9:6-8
6 But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, 7 nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, "In Isaac your seed shall be called." 8 That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.

22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? 25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; 27 For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins." 28 Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, 31 even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all. Romans 11:22-32

Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. Romans 11:5

Our God in his mercy, is long suffering and is willing that none should perish and He is going to wait until the fullness of the gentiles has come and then He will come in the clouds with a shout and destroy the enemies of Israel Himself without any help from us! We will just watch in awe as our King, great and awesome, destroys His enemies with the brightness of His coming!

... when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8

He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:20-21

And We are only going to be a part of that if we keep the commandments of the Lord!

But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Matthew 26:52

9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Revelation 13:9-10
