Iran threatens to take action

When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.”  Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.

Iran to US;
'We will take action if the US Aircraft Carrier returns to the Persian Gulf from the Sea of Oman.

What a way to start out the new year
I'd say Iran is desperate for action !
They sound serious to me and operating under a 'war plan' as they know full well that the US will ignore their threat.
Is this another empty threat or are they driven by their Mahdi, Satan to initiate war ?
I strongly believe that Iran has been given a great sword (battle) and that proud,pompous America has been blinded (conditioned to ignore the warning) to this serious threat from Iran with the backing of their many powerful partners.
