It should be easy to understand what motivates the US,EU and the UN by their abject failure,impotence,lip service to end the Muslim on Muslim genocide going on in Syria for 20 months now with thousands of dead women, children,civilians.
Little outnumbered Israel is much easier to intimidate and push around than Syria's Bashar al Assad.
This is not about stopping Hamas but stopping Israel.
The object is no matter what threat Israel faces is to restrain Israel and keep the tiny infidel nation from ever defeating another Arab army ever again.
Their concern is not civilian casualties as witnessed by Syria but to save the Arab/Islamic world from losing face to another crushing defeat by a very tiny non Muslim nation in their midst whom they have no intention of making peace with and every open intention of destroying with the help of 'ceasefires' and their partners, the US,EU,Russia and UN.
They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
