Playing with death on Monday, dead by Saturday

53 and on top of the world, reminds me of James Gandolfini and his sudden and unexpected death.
I'm seeing more of this and I daily thank God for each and every day and make no long term plans.
Understanding that He is Lord of all, over all and praying fervently, seriously,Thy will be done.
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
James 4:13

Everything today is game for mockery and frivolity. There is nothing holy or revered in this godless, death worshiping culture.God is not pleased with this damned generation.

Making light of such a serious subject these days, almost mocking death by leaving out the Author of life and death is a fools errand.
Looks like he got God's attention.

Eerily, Mr. Kraddick and his crew did a bit Monday about how they would handle his death.

“Have you ever thought about those last moments of your life?” he asked them. “Nobody wants a long, lingering illness; nobody wants just that; but it would be nice if you could have a day or two where you know it’s coming.”
Mr. Kraddick then spent several minutes saying goodbye to each member of his on-air staff.

Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Boasting and writing a book about being the best sniper/killer in the Military is not something to be proud of,it may get God's attention.
Humility is gone and arrogance reigns over this now cursed land.

'It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.'
Hebrews 10:31
'And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.'
Matthew 10:28

When is the last time that you heard a pastor, preacher, evangelist or anyone quote these rather stark words of Jesus ?
