When the blessings of God are removed and replaced with curse and judgment,the sleeping Church is the last to understand or awaken.
The wrath of God will wipe away every refuge of denial and every lie upon the earth.

Detrich, who was able to enter Greensburg soon after the twister passed through, said the small town was flattened.
"People were walking down the street like something out of a horror flick, a zombie movie," Detrich said.
Storm chaser Marty Logan, who took a dramatic photo of a tornado backlit by a burst of lightning south of Greensburg, estimated that it was at least a half-mile wide. Two smaller tornados were following to the right of the larger twister as they swept northward into Greensburg, he said.

Where's the first place they run afterward? To the CHURCH. How about running to GOD?
Very few are picking up this pattern. Not to say the non-Bush states and the west is sin-free, but it just shows that it starts with God's people. The sinner is already going to hell, so no point hammering at them, since they are walking dead w/o Christ anyway.
The idol must be judged, and will be. They can stop it whenever they want, just be stopping the worhip of all things American and worship God alone. Stop making Him some kind of 'mascot' for American dominance. He already has a nation, called Israel, which we seem to forget, or ignore.

I don't think most Christian's understand why God is sending His wrath on them first and then the godless.
When God brought His judgment on Israel by raising up the King of Babylon faithful Jeremiah suffered along with those who had turned away from God.
