You might notice that baked products here in Israel during Passover might NOT contain flour but they DO contain leavening agents. Get back to the written WORD of God for the TRUTH!

How in the world could any sane Christian look forward to the return of the old rituals which God despised and hated. How terribly sad that all through the centuries when all the rest of the world was being delivered from its sin by a new force which had come out of their own midst….And they actually saw and heard it and let it go!

Steve ,your ignorance is typical of so many who speak what they know nothing about.
What you wrote is a perfect example of a deceived ,blind, clueless lost soul who presumes to know God's opinion on a matter.
You're dead wrong.
The Feast of Passover as with all the Feasts are God's feast which He commanded to be observed forever.
By about the Third century the Devil had infiltrated the Church leadership and cut the church off from it's roots by bringing in pagan feasts to replace what God chas instituted for all time.
How sad that the Church has been robbed of the deep spiritual blessing of celebrating our Passover Lamb Jesus' sacrifice for us.
Jesus observed the Passover every year anf the Church did until pagan Roman Catholicism poisoned everything with Emperor Constantine's political marriage with the church.
The Bush political Christian's make the same fatal error of whoreing with this king of the earth wolf who dresses as a lamb.
You Steve like so many deceive Christians would rather follow Satan's feast of Bunny Rabbit day and Xmas with the big fat red suited, bearded pagan fellow.
Wake up and open the Bible and learn about what God says about the Feasts He INSTITUTED and stop following the devil's pagan anti-Christ feasts.

“I hate, I despise your religious feasts;
I cannot stand your assemblies.

Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.

But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!

I'm awake Marcel.

I know you have a problem with the blood of this innocent, sinless Pasover Lamb but God told Abraham that He would provide the Lamb ,not you.

Of course God despised His sinful rebellious people and their hypocritical and empty religious sham.
Please try and grasp the reality that these are God's Feast's.
Has your god changed His mind and become confused and doubleminded about what He said to Moses ?

Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off. Nahum 1:15

Lev 23:42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
Lev 23:43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I [am] the LORD your God.
Lev 23:44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.

Steve and Marcel....

One perspective [from Marcel]....
Nahum 1:15
Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

Another one here....

Hebrews 10:1
¶For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 ¶Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Israel, and ourselves [included], we still walk as the blind!

Matthew 15:29
¶And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, *and the blind to see*: and they glorified the God of Israel.

John 19:30
......It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Isaiah 43:1
¶But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
8 ¶*Bring forth the blind people that have eyes*, and the deaf that have ears.
9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
10 *Ye are my witnesses* [Israel], saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

I hope you are keeping well Marcel.

Hi Walter,
As always ,thanks for the scripture.
You confuse the Temple sacrifices with the Feasts of God.
Big difference !
Ephesian's 2:12
Do you exclude yourself from the commonwealth of Israel ?
If you do you make sure that in the end you will be cut off .
Romans 11:15-22
God has seven Feasts which He gave to His people.
Passsover
Unleavened Bread
First Fruits
Pentecost
Trumpets
Atonement (Yom Kippur)
Tabernacles
Show me in the Bible where Jesus or the Apostles erased these FEASTS ?
In fact ,during the Millenium these 7 Feasts will be celebrated as a rememberance.
Did you miss the fact that when Jesus is ruling the nations from Jerusalem that all the nations will be RFEQUIRED to come up to Jerusalem for the FEAST OF TABERNACLES or they will get no rain ?
Failing to go up to Jerusalem for this Feast of Tabernacles will bring a guaranteed drought.
This will be IN THE FUTURE during the reign of Jesus when He returns.
So please end the ignorance and false teachings that the Feasts of God are over with.
Each one of these Feasts has great spiritual significance and meaning to the Christian TODAY and all point to Jesus.
Because we also (like the Jews)have been blinded and deceived by Satan ,we have become cut off spiritually from our rich heritage and in understanding God's plan when it relates to Israel and the Church.
Those DAMNED Christian's who do not gather with Israel will gather with the Pope and the whore church and gnash their teeth with them in hell.

Passover was instituted by God so that His short term memory people would remember what He did for them.
We blind and deceived Christian's know more about pagan rites of adorning trees in our homes than we do about GOD'S FEAST'S.
How shameful.
It's sad that paganized Christians would rather cdelebrate a pagan winter solstice 'Christless mass' than Passover which God commanded His people to observe.
We have cut ourselves off from our roots and imitate Satans pagan holidays and not God's pure festivals.
I don't hear steve or you complaining about Christian's celebrating Satan's pagan holidays but you do 'complain' about celebrating the Feasts which God instituted ?
Why is that ?

Greetings Marcel.

If these Jewish feasts are regarded by you [and many others] as an important instruction to us, more power to you Marcel!

I can see [and concede] your point, that all of these Jewish feasts were instituted by the God of Israel, to be for symbolic instruction to his chosen people.....
......so that the people of Israel would not, indeed, be ignorant [blind] to God's plan.
".....Each one of these Feasts has great spiritual significance and meaning to the Christian TODAY and all point to Jesus."

I do read God's word, and i get great comfort from that,
.....but i have always struggled with the deeper meanings of some of what i have read, particularly with the instituted ceremonies and feasts.
Perhaps this aspect [the symbolism of these Jewish feasts] would have been made clear to me, if i had that cultural upbringing [i.e. if i had been born a Jew. which i was not].

In spite of this awareness [on your part, and others] of the deep significance of these Jewish feasts, for me Marcel, its deeper significance just goes over the top of my head.
Sssssswish!
And i wish that it did not!

I am blind, i cannot see it.
I want eyes!
Please LORD.

Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Marcel said...

'Perhaps this aspect [the symbolism of these Jewish feasts] would have been made clear to me, if i had that cultural upbringing [i.e. if i had been born a Jew. which i was not].'

You get what you want in life ,whatever you settle for.
Excuses ,God will not accept them.

I was born far away from Jewish culture into a paganized Christian culture.
I'm not Jewish ,just one lone soul who hates EVERY lie with passion and loves the truth.

After the Lord set me free from bondage to WORTHLESS man made religious traditions I learmed a valuable lesson of following Him and not men.
I see Judiasm without Jesus in this same bondage to so much worthless religious tradition but the Feasts belong to Jesus and to those who follow Him.
Rabinnical Judiasm believe that their good works is their ticket to heaven.
They are blinded to believe that their righteousness is good enough
to merit God's forgiveness.
Self righteous delusion ,but God will revive them again and He will ahve His remnant there as He will with a remnant from apostate Christianity.

I think for many there are stumbling blocks in the way that keep us from pressing on into what God wants for us.
I had to lay my culture,my will,my family and religious ancestry all on the altar for God to burn up as a sacrifice to Him who alone is worthy.
Too many hindered by their pride, flesh refuse to let go of something that is a stubling block between them and the Lord.
I don't have time for anythinbg but the truth and this makes it easier for me to understand the feasts and our being grafted into the commonwealth of Israel.

During the night I thought on the reality that God's tolerance of His people following pagan customs in 'Christian settings was coming to an end.
If they want to continue to have Christmas trees and Sata with easter eggs and bunnies then God would leave them to their un-Godly ways. He is gathering and many refuse to gather with Him,stubbornly holding onto the ways of death, and mens perverted traditions.
Time is run out for many doubleminded rebellious saints who will find themselves fighting God nad His saints.

When someone ask me what Christian denomination I belong to I tell them Israeli.
God is gathering His people.
We wil gather with Him or scatter towards the only other choice, Anti-Christ and his false prophet Pope and the false whore church which assumes to have replaced Israel.

Understanding importance of Passover and the Feasts of God radio/ mp3.

Hello Marcel,

Regards the feasts of Israel....

I downloaded and listened to the Jim Searcy mp3, Pass2008.mp3
Thank you for the link.

[Here, my further thoughts on this subject, after prayer....please excuse the very long post.]

These feasts are intended *primarily* for those who are still blind.

These feasts are [were] for [the 1st covenant] Israel, for those children of Israel, for God's 'chosen', for those who [still!!!] do not see, or recognise 'the working' of their messiah, and who do not recognise the need of his coming to *redeem* us!
I believe that our LORD gave these feasts [to Israel], and instructed Israel to keep these feasts, so that [one day] the 'penny will drop'.
So that all Israel would truly [come to] understand their 'work' as his witnesses [to mankind].
And,
.......at that time [at that very particular time], WHEN THE LORD HIMSELF WILL REMOVE THE BLINDNESS OF HIS PEOPLE.

Zechariah 12:10
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: *and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced*, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Zechariah 13:1 ¶In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

Isaiah 25 - 'And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.....'.

Isaiah 25:1
¶O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
6 ¶And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
9 ¶And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

The feasts of Israel are [were], to lead the children of Israel, to understand [as God's 'chosen' workmen], the purpose of their 'work'.
So that they would not still, remain in their blindness.
So that they too, might see the need for....
* spiritual redemption
* the need [of all mankind] to put away wickedness [in their walk here]

Marcel, if you, or the children of Israel, or any other person, wish to celebrate these feasts, in praise of our God, in praise and *recognition* [demonstrating your 'sight'] of our spiritual fathers redemption plan, that is acceptable.
And i am sure that you will recieve a blessing.

Jesus as the Passover bread and wine.....

John 6:47
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
60 ¶Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Listen to these gospel words [above] again, of our LORD, when talking to *men of flesh*, to men who could not see [to men who were blind] to God's spiritual message.
Was Jesus commanding these men to become canibals?
No!
He 'commanded' this 'eating' of his flesh [a 'pre-viewing' the Passover meal, of his coming 'last supper'] in the hope that they would *see* [that they might demonstrate their 'sight' of, IN REFERENCE TO THE 1st covenant TEMPLE SACRIFICES] a spiritual truth of mankinds *need* for spiritual redemption.
And what did the spiritually 'blind' men say among themselves?

".....This is an hard saying; who can hear it?"

Blind men!
Spiritually unsighted.

What was Jesus 'rebuke'?
"......It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:"

Lord Jesus was instructing, that Temple sacrifices, .....'profiteth nothing' !!!
The sacrifice God requires is a clean heart [within us].
[i.e. repent, and 'put away' wickedness from our hearts.]

The [1st covenant] temple priests ate the altar sacrifices that were made to the LORD.
They ate the flesh of the temple sacrifices.
The temple priests were *symbolically* cleansed, sanctified in the fulfilling, in the commission of their duties.

In keeping Passover feast, we [who are 2nd covenant persons] do the same.
Keeping Passover feast is intended to [demonstrate we understand a spiritual truth, and that we have] remove[d] the blindness, of our understanding.
About what?
About LORD Jesus work, our spiritual redemption.

Matthew 13:10
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:20
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

What does our LORD truly require of us?
[To learn what this is, what is required is that we dilligently read, and hopefully come to understand the message within God's word - the Bible.]
* That we love God. [Who first loved us. So we are merely returning his love.]
* That we love righteousness and mercy.

Matthew 22:35
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Our absolute need [given] in the LORD's message of redemption, is the all encompassing NEED for our,
[1] repentance,
[2] the putting away of our wickedness, and our need to
[3] *embrace* our spiritual redemption [to graciously take up the gift!!!!]

And again, these verses....

8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Israel, and ourselves [included], we still walk as those who are blind!

Jesus atonement work, God's redemption work...
....if we *individually* accept this spiritual gift from God, then...

John 19:30
......*It is finished*

God's redemptive act is accomplished [.....until we join our LORD].

5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

So, praise the LORD!
Keep the feasts of Israel, in praise of our LORD [if you feel, and have determined that this is required of you].

But most of all, *embrace* your spiritual redemption, and take up the LORD's gift!!!!
As much as is within your power, put away all wickedness [from your own hands].
'Die' in the flesh, live in the spirit.

Isaiah 8:16
¶Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
17 And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.
18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Romans 8:5
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God [redeemed].
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Colossians 2:16
¶Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Colossians 3:1
¶If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5 ¶Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8 ¶But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

Marcel, i pray to God, that he may lead me in his way.
I am not a teacher.
I am a man who waits on the LORD, i am a man who stumbles within this darkness.
I am a man who seeks the righteousness and mercy of my LORD.
And i praise my LORD, for the mercy he has shown to me.

Walter ,thank you for your response.
As the devil makes war against the woman and her offspring there will be less seperation between us.
The pressure will drive many believers to the false church.
So God is gathering and seperating and my small branch firmly grafted into and identified with Israel.
God Bless and keep you as we approach the perilious time Jesus spoke of .

Jesus is our Passover.

The Hebrew Temple sacrifices [instituted by God] are [were] a specific type of 'parable'.
Their 'instruction' was about spiritual truth, about our fleshly bodies, about wickedness, and about our redemption from that wickedness.
.....a knowledge which can lead us to [real!] LIFE.

[This is my opinion, as i am led, backed up with scripture....]
We are [spirits] locked in this flesh, for a 'season'.....

Lamentations 3:32
But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
34 To crush under his feet *all the prisoners of the earth*,

The LORD's supper / Passover feast, was another 'parable' about spiritual truth.

The word of God [the Bible] is full of stories, being 'parables', revealing spiritual TRUTH...

Jesus described himself as the good shepherd,

John 10:11
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Jesus described himself as a door to the [his] sheep,

John 10:7
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Jesus described himself as the bread of life,
John 6:48
I am that bread of life.

For many centuries, bread has been regarded 'the giver of life' to *fleshly men*.

Again, and again, talking to the understanding of fleshly men, God speaks to us [in parables, in his Word] in terms related to our [bodily] experience.

And yet, we [*seemingly* fleshly humans] are called, 'children of God', who is a spirit.

John 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 *God is a Spirit*: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Another Bible parable....
Our experience here, on this little planet [in this fleshly body], is *destined* to be the experience of 'prodigal sons & daughters' [parable at Luke 15:11].
When we go out into the world, and we are all [at first] seduced by the world.
Until we gain the experience[s] to see how wretched our lives here are.
[Well, some of us do! :))) ]
And, how well this life has been described as 'the pit'!

And [many of us] we come to see ourselves, in this bodily form, as 'corruptible' [in every sense of the word!], and often as contemptible!
And yet, we have free will, to choose a better path for ourselves.
And this [choosing a better path] is what our father hopes for us!

And in our freedom here, we have a choice, to act correctly, as did the prodigal son [in the gospel *parable*] and repent of our life [here] and return to be with our father, to return to abide in his righteousness, and in his mercy.
Or, we can [continue to] love this world!

You may see only this world, but we *are* spiritual beings.
And we are the children of our 'father'?

But, which father?
We choose!
That is our purpose in being here, it seems [to me].
To choose our 'father'!!

1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

In the flesh we *will* die, in the spirit we will live.

John 5:29
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

To those children [of God] who love God and his righteousness [to those who choose God's redemption gift, through Christ / Messiah], is the message...

1 Corinthians 15:42
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

And we have to stop thinking in terms of the kingdom of God, being a kingdom set up by God, for the flesh, and in this world.

John 18:36
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

If you want to follow traditions ['parables'] which point the way to our spiritual redemption, that is up to you.

Mark 7:7
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

It is not by following 'forms' or 'symbols' [which for centuries, has been a part of many religions - often as a means of secular control!], which will save.
But if you feel a need within yourself to exercise this form, to strengthen your faith, then you should do it.

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

What is the 'sacrifice' which our God requires of us?

Isaiah 1:10
¶Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
16 ¶Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Was the presence of the LORD hidden behind a vail in the Hebrew tabernacle to hide the glory of the LORD from mens eyes?
That explanation is what some give for the *purpose* of the vail in the tabernacle.
Or was the LORD [also?] 'hidden' behind a screen, to be a symbol of mankind's inability to perceive any deep spiritual truth?
As a symbol of our [mankind's] 'blindness'?

Remember, that in the new testament, it is our bodies which are called the 'temple', of the spirit of God! [1 Corinthians 3:16,17]

Ecclesiastes 3:10
I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 ¶He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

In this verse above, what is the instrution for us in this life?
"......to rejoice, and to do good in his life."

So, while blindness of spiritual things is not a good thing.
....to be spiritually blind, is not a condemnation of us.
But to be wicked, to live a wicked life, indeed is *spiritually* a condemnation!

Should we seek after worldly [greatness], or rather after spiritual righteousness?
It seems that even Jesus disciples had wrong 'attitudes' to what was important in life.
How much more we [myself included] here, today!

Luke 9:38
And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.
40 And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; *and they could not*.
41 And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
43 ¶And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,
44 Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.
45 But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.
46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

2 Thessalonians 2:3
¶Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

The LORD will be revealed to this world.
It is coming.
And when the LORD is revealed, this world will mourn!
When the LORD is revealed to their understanding, men [in their flesh] will mourn for their spiritual 'blindness' - and, because of their *unrepentant* wicked ways.

Who is 'the son of perdition' [the anti-christ] ?
We are, when we allow wickedness to dwell in our hearts.

And we all have [been wicked, at some time].
But, [our LORD be praised!] we are redeemed, if we choose to be.

Has the vail been lifted?
Not from the eyes, of many men in this world!

".......for that day shall not come, *except there come a falling away first*, and that man of sin be revealed,"

2 Corinthians 3:13
And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

Isaiah 40:1
¶Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins.
3 ¶The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Isaiah 56:1
¶Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

I urge you all.....
Take up God's gift to us.
And he will welcome us back into his presence.

Don't be too proud, to be our loving fathers prodigal children.

Walter,

"Their 'instruction' was about spiritual truth"

Don't we still need instruction about spiritual truth now ?
That is why God gave His people these 7 feasts ,to remind His forgetful people.
Instead of saying 'instruction was' ,shouldn't you have written 'instruction is ' ?

They are much more than parables and they also have great teaching and prophetic significance.
Now why would the Church reject something directly from God which gives understanding and learning and knowledge AND REMBERANCE of what God has done for us ?
A sick and deceived Churchs' actions against it's own roots, while embracing pagan ways is suicidal, don't you think ?

'Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts'

Those obedient to God's law ,His
commands were justified by faith looking forward to the time when God would provide the perfect sacrifice for their sin just as He promised to Abraham.
In Leviticus 23;29 He even says that those who would not afflict their soul for the Feast of Atonement would be cut off from Israel.
This was much more than a parable and dealt with life and death ,eternal seperation from God.
The apostate church under Constantine and others wolves seperated the Church's from it's Hebraic roots and we have never been the same.
Jesus is restoring what the devil has stolen from the Church.

'Jesus is our Passover'
All the more reason to follow Passover in rememberance of Him.
These are God's Feasts which He created FOREVER.
God Himself says MY feasts.
He does not say My Parables.
---------------

The LORD's supper / Passover feast, was another 'parable' about spiritual truth.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons........
Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings......
These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations,........
And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

I wanted others to read this so I posted it at the top of my blog.

If you believe the Bible you have to agree that you are wrong about this.

-------------------
Walter, et.al ,
Many Believers assume they can cast away what God is keeping and commanding us to keep.
That is both dangerous and foolish.
I wanted to post this upcoming event so that my fellow Christians can see for themselves from the bible that the Feasts of God are not past tense or only old, ancient parables which are no longer of use to believers in Messiah Jesus today.
This scripture from the book of Zechariah should put to burial any false teachings that we as Christian's no longer have to observe the Feast's of God. The Feast of Tbernacles and sacrifice (see verse 21 below)to the Lord will be going on regularly when Jesus rules over the earth from Jerusalem.
Case Closed !
---------------------------
exerpts from Zechariah 14
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which [is] before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, [and there shall be] a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
......And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which [is] before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south............
And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth....
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles
In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
21.Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
---------------------
'no more the Caanite' -They were the merchants whose life was centered in making a buck off of everything including God as we see in the Church of Jesus today.
Truly a serious infection which has poisoned the body.
The religion business has polluted the temple of God (us) and we go along with it even though it is greatly displeasing to God.
Even the tax expempt government ststus 5013c is ,unclean ,leaven, pollution and stain upon the Church of Jesus Christ
We have made the government Lord insttead of Jesus.
Thank God this will end !
