This foolishness goes way back before Israel's present leaders. It started with Moshe Dayan, the General credited with the victories in 1967. The credit did not go to God, but to the IDF. The General gave immediate control of the Temple Mount to the Islamic Authorities in Jerusalem; in a goodwill effort to hopefully bring a peaceful transition from Jordanian rule to Israeli rule.
This was the first major effort on the part of Israel to compromise and admit by their actions that they were not, for the most part, worried or concerned for religious, or Godly claims of the holy sites. Further concessions to be added to the Temple Mount issue are Joseph's Tomb, the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, and the almost total surrender of the ancient Jewish city of Hevron.
In an effort to appease the nations of the earth, Israeli governments stick their fingers in God's eye; not only the nations of the earth, but Israeli governmental leaders themselves do this repeatedly.
The great day is coming though, when the earth will shake and quiver, the mountains will thunder asunder, the earth will creek, groan and split and the One who rules from the heavens will put a sudden, abrupt end to this foolishness.
Israel, as has the major established man made church systems,has longed to be accepted by the world system. It is a battle as old as humanity itself.
The seperated ones, those who in days of old died for the Faith, and if they did not die, they lived in the caves and mountains and wilderness places of planet earth, knew what was happening and it continues to this very day.

Dear Brother,
When Christ was here on earth, He never went to Rome, the superpower of His day. He never appealed to the Roman authorities or tried to convince them of whether they were right or wrong. It does not matter what government we fall under as long as we belong to the Kingdom of God. There are Believers around the globe serving the Great King from Islamic nations, nations where Buddist or Hindu are in the majority, Belivers in luke warm, or even stone cold former so called Christian nations of Western Europe and in Communist nations such as China and Viet Nam.
I am not going to rail against President Bush, Vice President Chaney, Sec. of State Rice or even Nancy Pelosi or Barak Obama.
I am going to pray for these people. I pray for President Bush quite often. They belong to, and represent, and follow a world system that is doomed to fail in the long run. Judgment is fallen upon America for her pro abortion, pro gay rights, pro violence in entertainment and especially for her casting Israel to the wolves. Judgment is upon us.
I do not trust in Mccain, Palin, Obama or Biden. I pray that God would somehow, someway, if He sees fit, and I do not think He does now, it is too late and we are too set in our sins, to open the eyes of these leaders.
The Apostle Paul says to pray for the peace of whatever city or place we happen to live in. If there is peace there, we live in peace. We are not at peace here, any longer. Judgment has arrived.
The Bible also says that those in authority have been place there by God; He is the one who raises up and casts down at will. President Bush became President because God wanted him there. Whether by hook, crook, or an honest election (doubtful), he is here. He needs our prayers.
One of the hardest things I will ever be requested to do, and I have been requested to do so if it happens, is to pray for Barak Obama and Joe Biden if they are elected. Pray that their eyes would be opened; that in the midst of judgment, when we are cast into a pit of dispair as a nation, that they will realize that there is no other place to go than to the God of Israel, the Creator of all things, for forgiveness, for healing, and for favor.
I fear that we may have passed the day of grace. We have to live with the results; and we will. But He is faithful to those who continue to obey His word; to pray for those who rule over us.
The Prophets of old not only railed against sin, which is good, but they wept, interceeded, implored, visited their leaders with warnings, promises of good for obedience and when judgment fell they did not gloat with glee, the fell on their faces in sackcloth and ashes and identified with the sins of the nation.
I do not represent the "Christian Council of Foreign Relations wing" as you have said in jest, I hope. I just strongly identify with the deception, the veil, the hidden agenda of those who are in the halls of power in our nation's capital. I pray and interceed for the people I know who are nearing retirement in those Agencies. Many of my family members are involved in FEMA, Interior, the IRS, the Dept. of Defense and they are under enormous pressures and they call out to God, I am sure, quite regularly for wisdom, help and assistance.
God has His people in the halls of power. God had his people in the halls of power in ancient Babylon, the Medes and Persian empires, and the Roman Empire. He always has a witness. Do not throw the baby out with the bath water and the whole tub!

Washington's peace is also our peace. The Angel of old announced at Yeshua's birth "peace on earth, goodwill to men" or I have also heard interpreted as being "peace on earth to men of goodwill...." Either way, there is great peace to those who know God, know His ways, and know how these things eventually wrap up.

Back then Israel,the church were not involved in politics nor did the shepherds once tell them to 'get involved'.
Believers understood the seperation unlike today.
Where does it TEACH us in the Bible that we are to become political.

The judgment that is falling on Western nations is serving two purposes; it is for our sins of turning against Israel and forcing the division of God's Land, our violence, abortion, murders, lust and drug addiction. But more than that, and I agree with you whole heartedly, the judgment will purify His Bride, His church and it will be easily seperated and noticeable from the compromised, western, socially acceptable "church" of today. Denominations that approve of same sex living arraingments, abortion, or right to choose, as they say, which really means right to murder children.
The seperation of the wheat from the tares will occur when judgment comes into full swing. Those with a heart for God will run to Him to be purified, refined, and refilled with His Spirit of truth, power and might. Those who were never serious in the first place but only used religion for social position or who thought of Jesus as a white, caucasan heavenly santa claus, will fall by the way side and disapear from the scene.
I agree that Israel has always had a special place in our Father's heart because of the Fathers of the faith; Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is because of the faithfulness of these Patriarch's that God did not wipe out the children of Israel in the desert wanderings. Only the intercession of Moses prevented this.
I believe in the power of intercession. I wish I were more of a prayer warrior. One that could influence God to change His mind or to reason with Him on issues. He has ask us to present our case before Him, to come and reason together with Him. We have great power in the spiritual realm through prayer.
When I was a child the denomination I was raised in as a child would have all night prayer meetings; and I mean all night, and I mean prayer; not songs, sermonnets or such. True sweaty, crying, pleading, interceeding prayer meetings that brought down the presence of God during those meetings. This is the prayer and intecession that moves heaven. This is the prayer that is heard in the heavens. Alas, I do not know of one church in our metropolitan area where this is happening.
I look back on the 1950-1960's as the good ole days; and we had all night watchnight and prayer meetings. Today, with the world spinning out of control, there is nothing! This also is a sign of judgment; the spirit of corporate prayer is ancient history; at least here in my area of the country.
There is a time when God has said that even the intercession of a Daniel or Moses would not change His mind; what He has determined will come to pass...That day is very, very close. I want to be found praying and interceeding on behalf of everyone I know when this thing comes down; whatever shape or form in which it happens.
I want to close my eyes in prayer and intercession, and when it happens I want to open my eyes in His presence. This is my desire. A true spirit of prayer and intercession.
Some are called to blow the trumpet loudly, some are called to strengthen what remains, some are called to shepherd His sheep, some are called to prayer and intercession; all forming one Body. Each playing His part.
Keep blowing loudly. I read every blog. When I make a comment I am not being critical by any means, just giving an opinion of one who was part of the "system" and to confirm that there are those in the system who know what is going on and they pray, read the Bible, witness to friends and coworkers, and interceed on behalf of the lost and dying.
We are in this together. His Body will be without spot or wrinkle; washed in the blood of the Lamb.
The Father knows what it will take to purify the Bride for His Son. It will not be pleasent, but it is necessary. The days the prophets spoke of are upon us.
The beast system, One World Government, Antichrist and false prophet should not scare Believers, everyday they delay their appearance, thousands of people go into eternity not knowing God, thousands of babies are ripped from the womb, wars and violence spreads across this planet, husbands beat their wives, robbery and murder is a daily occurance throughout the land.
At least we know that there will be only 7 short years of rule for this system before Yeshua returns to set up His glorious kingdom. I am not trying to advance this beast system by any means. All I am saying is that is not something we should spend so much effort to try to stop! We are trying to fight God when we do this.
Each passing day and delay of the days of Tribulation, the church gets sleepier, church people who are convinced they are saved die and go to hell because they never really gave of themselves to the Savior, and like the 12 in the Garden with Christ, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. God knows how to strengthen our spirit.
History has proven that persecution purifies the church. Persecution and trials cause the church to spread like wildfire. God sits as the great Refiner in the heavens. He is turning the heat control up as we speak!
