In the UK, Prime Minister Gordon Brown went so far last week as to urge President-elect Barack Obama to become a "globalized" leader -- something that Senator Obama is in a unique position to do, considering tremendous international appeal (nations around the world, and across races, religions, and ethnic groups, loudly cheered his victory). "We can seize the moment and in doing so build a truly global society," intoned the leader of England. Brown called for the election of Obama to be the starting point of a "truly global society" where nations will work together rather than being "frozen by events" such as the current financial crisis. President George W. Bush and his father also looked to a new world order. Meanwhile, in Silicon Valley -- where computer money played such a huge role in the presidential election -- executives from companies such as Google have proposed a globalized "religion." One can be excused for concern here too -- in that Google, Microsoft, and many other "tech" companies are less than warm toward traditional Christianity.(end excerpt)A good article and fairly well balanced. To you true followers of Christ Jesus (and only to you) I have this to say. You have seen the spirit of Antichrist. You understand that Christ in you, is stronger that the evil spirit that is in charge of the world in this evil age (1John 4:4). If you have noticed an uptick in hatred towards you from co-workers, friends, family or in even casual acquaintances it is because the the spirit of Antichrist is working hard to turn whoever it can against God and one of the few tools it has (now anyway) is social ostracism. anitchrist (small 'a') is trying to marginalize God's people and his message. If you carry the wounds of those who have called you names, denied you jobs, demoted you, harassed you, lied about you, physically assaulted you or persecuted you in anyway because you serve Jesus Christ, rejoice and be exceedingly glad. You bear the true marks of sainthood. This is a badge of honor to you, never be ashamed of it. When a man or woman receives those wounds he has been 'initiated' into God's service. Blessed is that man, woman or child. The spirit of antichrist is everywhere. It tries to stop Christians from preaching the gospel, stops Christians from delivering aid to the needy and always paints Christ and Christians in the worst possible light. It magnifies every indiscretion and sin committed by some (like Priest sex crimes - real, imagined or financially motivated perjury) or goes back into history and only picks out the worst moments of Church History to mock Christ and his Church. This same spirit (the spirit of antichrist) refuses to talk about the millions of dollars of aid Christians give to the poor. It refuses to talk about the hundreds of homeless shelters, soup kitchens, free medical care, tuition assistance and battered woman care that Christians provide to others, free of charge. Instead it lambasts those who hate sin (evil) as 'judgmental', those who love God's truth as 'narrow minded', those who value human life as 'old-fashioned'. This too is the spirit of antichrist and those who utter those words against the saints are under its full influence, weather they call themselves Christian or not. Yes, Christians (or former christians) can be afflicted by the Spirit of antichrist.
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (1Jo 2:18-22)
So bretheren, you are going to find that your worst enemies will be false and former Christians who rejected God and sided with the spirit of antichrist. They rejected the truth, they are anathema. Some can possibly be called back to repentance, but the simple truth is, most cannot.
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. (2Pe 2:20-22)

See Rev 22:15So brethren, forget about the 'new broad way to heaven' gospel that is being preached in many of America's pulpits or talked about in the media, internet or new age books and working groups. There is a narrow way that leads to life and it is hard road with many troubles and persecutions along the way. Only a few find it and fewer still follow it to the end of their days. The rest of Mankind who sides with the spirit of antichrist wind up where that spirit goes, into eternal fire. That spirit as well as all of its criminal co-consipiritors (lost men and fallen angels), will be rounded up, judged and cast alive into a place that will be an eternal reminder to all God's creation that sin is a most serious issue with God. No one who ever sees that place, even from a distance will ever doubt it again, be they Angel, man or any other creature that God has made or will create in the eternity to come. God did not want things to turn out this way, but the Angels who fell and rebelled against God did not believe God's word. Eve, did not believe God's warnings about sin, nor did Adam. Not one of us did because we have ALL sinned. This is one reason why God must make his creation aware of the serious consequences of sin and his eternal displeasure with it. Yet we, the redeemed, will be an eternal testament to God's eternal mercy and love because we will know that the only reason we do not join these criminal co-conpsirators of antichrist is because of the person and work of Jesus Christ. If we are his, we have confidence of our salvation. But there is a cross of persecution we must all endure... to the end... to be saved.
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. (Mat 10:32-39)
Stand firm brethren and cast not your faith away because of the ravings, accusations and lies of the spirit of antichrist. That spirit is and will be eternally jealous of you. You (mankind) can be saved, the spirits of the kingdom of darkness can never be. And never means eternity. This is war. It is a battle on two fronts - One: for us (ourselves) to get into the kingdom and two; to save as many souls as we can. The devil knows the stakes, most men do not. It is our job to explain it to them and let them know there is a God who truly loves each and every one of us but is also fully determined to eternally punish those that love evil.
