Your Companion in Tribulation

In the Kingdom of God, our suffering is not in vain. There is a purpose in it all. When hard times come for those that do not have Christ in their lives, all they are left with is difficult times, unless the trials compel them to call upon the Name of The Lord. Then the trials become a tremendous blessing of eternal value. But, for those that do not learn from their sufferings and continue to serve the world, there is no consolation for their pain. Their reward comes from the things of this life. But, for the child of God, there are good things that come, even from the deepest of sorrows. God’s Word promises, ".................all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28).

..........The beast will make war with the saints, "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them:……" (Revelation 13: 7). As we see things progressing in the world, we know that the time is short. You can see that we truly are at the time of the end. As we, the children of God, have the hope of the resurrection of the just—the hope of eternal life--we do not have to cling to our present earthly lives. Paul said, "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God" (Acts 20: 24). We have the hope that the world does not have. We will be tried, but through the blood of the Lamb, we are victorious, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death" (Revelation 12: 11).

Thank you, Marcel, for the reminder of what is important in this life. An interesting concept of what the Apostle Paul said is that he did not count his life dear unto himself; as a result of this mindset, he could finish his course with joy! His life and writings are truly a testimony of the grace of God which worked through this man who used to capture Believer's and send them to the authorities with great zeal. What a life changing Father we have!

If He choses to do so, He can cause one to stop dead in their tracks and abruptly change direction; His direction for His purposes.

Paul is surely a refreshing change from the majority of compromised believers today who have a love affair with this present world.
