Sharia law could creep into US via financial crisis
$700 billion bailout may open America to Islamic banking laws
During the recent US market meltdown, the US Department of Treasury was allowed by Congress to increase the national debt limit by $700 billion in order to borrow funds to bail out American financial institutions, but the majority of these loans are coming from sovereign wealth funds in oil-rich Arab countries which may want to require US financial institutions to comply with Islamic sharia banking laws.
One of the fundamental tenets of Islam is the establishment of a worldwide umma (community) that will abide by Sharia law, a comprehensive judiciary system that Islamic societies are required to uphold, but in varying formats depending on the strictness of each country.
Frank Gaffney Jr., president for the Center for Security Policy in Washington, is warning that the Arab sovereign wealth funds, flush with windfalls from high oil prices over recent years, may be working to ensure that any major funds loaned to the US Treasury to help cover the Wall Street bailout could come with a requirement that the companies purches with the monies become sharia compliant. Gaffney is spearheading an initiative to raise awareness and prevent Sharia compliance from becoming required of American financial institutions.

Oil and the national debt is the hook in the jaw of western nations. These two issues may very well be the linch pin that drags the USA and Western European nations to the Valley of Jehosophat in the coming years (possibly sooner).
God has everything under control. It will go according to His plan; which cannot be changed. Will anyone instruct the Almighty (El Elyon) what to do, how to do it, or when? A resounding no!
I, like hopefully millions of other Believers happened to be born in the United States of America. I, like tens of thousands of those Believers have worked for Federal, state and local governments.
You cannot throw us out with the bath water. God is having His way with each and every one of us. Just because we happened to work for these entities does not stamp the mark of the beast in our hand or forehead.
In that context, if this distinction were true, then any Believer who may have worked at Ford Motor Company would be accursed; because the founder was an anti-semite. Any one who happened to work for in the medical distribution system is accursed, because some medical companies give assistance to the Palestinian Authority or Islamic nations that are not friendly, or anti-Israel (of which all, with the exception of moderate states, if there is such a thing, like Morocco or Jordan). And these, in my opinion, are not friends!
I believe you get my general feelings regarding casting anyone who happened to work with Government (Federal, State or Local)into hell fire because of their association.
Dealing, or conversing with some Believers is like being damned before the chance is given by them to even offer a prayer to the Almighty!
I have dealt with this all of my life. My father was an Assembly of God minister and I have seen him struggle in years past with worldly decon boards and other minister who had their own agenda.

I have former associates who have happened to work for the US Government in different capacities. We live here in the eastern panhandle of WV, 60 miles from D.C. so many of my friends and relatives work now, or have retired from Federal positions. Some in security concerns, some in infrastructire concerns, some in Emergency Management concerns. Many in the military.
Beleivers cannot cast the hopefully several million believers in Yeshua out as being damned because of where they are employed.
In that context, are we going to damn the tens of thousands of soldiers who are Believers because they fight for what the President of the United States has determied is a worthy battle? Do Believers who serve in the military walk out en mass when they do not like an assignment?
The Apostle also admonished those who Believe that if you are a slave, be a good one! If you are a soldier, do not intimidate people, and so forth. Who were the soldiers in Paul's day? Israel did not have an army; they were under the dominion of Rome. He had to be talking to Believing Roman soldiers! Jews did not serve in the military. At the time of these writings Rome ruled with an iron fist; it was under their authority that Christ was cricified!
Add another vice to my list, if you wish, I also read and consider what is happening in Europe, THE ECONOMIST is a good source for up to the date issues "across the pond".
