When reading your article, the Scripture below came to mind for the upcoming paganistic Season.
Jer 10:2-7 2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

It does not look to be a good season for the lofty ones. The season of God's just payments is upon us. This scripture also stood out when I read it earlier today.
'For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.' Isaiah 26:5

I am still somewhat ashamed and a bit painful to say that I voted for Bush the first time in that deception; hoping and praying that we would "finally" gain a powerful voice to lead our country back to the Living Word of God" (plus at that time, Mr. Clinton(s) appeared very immoral to me anyway). I was deceived until about 3 years ago until I came to repentance of the sin of willful ignorance which led me to really understand what Jeremiah wrote in chapter 10:23-24 Oh Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. O Lord, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing. If not for the grace of God, I probably would have voted in this past election. Whew, I'm grateful I was not a part of that one! Thank you

Gas is $1.83 about 15 miles from where I live.
