Very interesting, Marcel… a million muslims marching to attack Israel…

There is a prophecy that foretells of something happening to the desert between egypt and Israel, and no one would be able to cross it for 40 years...This has not been fulfilled yet. I read it when Egypt was in civil unrest a few months ago and over threw Hosni Mubarak.

If you look at prophecy, it seems to make sense that this will happen (millions of muslims attacking Israel) either with the destruction of Egypt or Gaza or both, which could be the catalyst that draws the rest of the Arab countries to attack Israel at Gog-Magog War.

When the dust settles, Israel should be in full control of all of their terrortory from the original UN mandate. I’m thinking the 40 years that Egypt is laid desolate could probably take place during the 1,000 year millenneum, after Gog-Magog war.

Ezekiel 29:1-16

Ezekiel 29
1In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt:

3Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

4But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.

5And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.

6And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

7When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.

8Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.

9And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it.

10Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.

11No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.

12And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

13Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:

14And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.

15It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.

16And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

Hi Toni,

Ezekiel spoke this judgment to Pharaoh in the 10th year 10th month 12th day
and in the 27th year 1st month 1st day the king of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar was named as the one who would carry out God's judgment against Egypt.

Egypt has never again risen to a world power and has been a third rate banana republic since then.

1In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth of the month, the word of the LORD came to me saying,

2"Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.

17Now in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the word of the LORD came to me saying,

18"Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made his army labor hard against Tyre; every head was made bald and every shoulder was rubbed bare. But he and his army had no wages from Tyre for the labor that he had performed against it."

19Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon And he will carry off her wealth and capture her spoil and seize her plunder; and it will be wages for his army.

20"I have given him the land of Egypt for his labor which he performed, because they acted for Me," declares the Lord GOD.

Because Egypt,Lebanon and Syria Jordan are not mentioned in the Ezekiel 38 coalition of named nations I have no doubt that in this next war Israel will destroy them with a nuclear attack fulfilling Isaiah 17:1.

Israel has been so weakened by the false U.S. led peace process that they will have to use unconventional weapons in this soon coming war.

Russia,Ethiopia,Libya,Iran,Turkey are mentioned but not Israel's closest threatening neighbors.

That's because they're gone,destroyed.

Hi Marcel:

Thank you for your reply. You are right, I should have said I believe only part of the prophecy has been fulfilled I was mainly speaking of verse 11 and verse 13... When in history is it recorded that the 40 year desolation where no foot of man could go through Egypt? This sounds like some nuclear attack to me. When did this happen? I do not know where in the OT this is confirmed as being fulfilled; therefore, I believe the prophecy is one of a partial fulfillment and the remainder is to still be fulfilled.

I understand that Egypt is not mentioned in Ezekiel 38, however, I tend to believe that Egypt will be involved in Gog-Magog because Daniel 11 records that A/C will enter into the glorious land (Israel-Ez. 20:6) and many countries will be overthrown, only Jordan will escape out of his control. Daniel records that Egypt will not escape his control, as well as the Libyans, and the Ethiopians will also be in alliance w/ him. Vs. 41-43. I tend to think that all of these end time battles that remain to be fulfilled against Israel will happen in rapid succession of each other; Psalm 83, Isaiah 17:1, Gog-Magog.. I could be wrong. But I do think Egypt is involved. Time will tell, I guess.

10.....I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.

Daniel records that Egypt will not escape his control, as well as the Libyans, and the Ethiopians will also be in alliance w/him. Vs. 41-43. If Egypt does not escape A/C control, Egypt will have to align itself with A/C.

Hi Toni,
You make some good points.
We have to connect the book of Jeremiah and the 70 year captivity of Israel in Babylon with the 40 years of Egypt's captivity.

it's amazing how the remnant left in in Israel refused to listen to God after they asked Jeremiah to pray for His direction.
They were determined to go down to Egypt for their security and safety.

This is where God tells them He is sending the King of Babylon down to Egypt to turn it and them upside down, inside out.
Jeremiah 43 - captivity, death and sword for Egypt and the stubborn, disobedient remnant of Israel who went down to Egypt.

Jeremiah 46 more on Egypt.

I think we will all soon know more after this next war with Israel.

I am convinced that God will use Iran and others to strike the U.S.
in a surprise attack.
It's going to go something like this :

http://www.stevequayle.com/News.alert/05_Prophetic/050705.nuke.holocaust.html

With the U.S out of the picture, gone, Israel will be free to look to God alone for her security salvation.
That's when they will recognize their messiah is Jesus, not America.

God is going to remove the yoke of bondage from the neck of Israel.
