Sulfur Smell, A Sign ?

This rotten egg,sulfur smell over such a wider area of Southern California is very strange.
The experts are clueless and throw out non plausible reasons so far.
I wonder what the people of Sodom and Gomorrah smelled before the sulfuric fire and brimstone landed  on them ?
Could it be a warning of a major earthquake with major loss of life ?
lots of seismic activity down south of L.A.,Cal. this last month.
It's due,something big and bad is !
